BRANDON ANDERSON LOANED TO ECHL NORFOLK

 

ROANOKE, VA – The Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs have announced that goaltender Brandon Anderson has been loaned to the ECHL’s Norfolk Admirals.

Anderson was sent to Norfolk on Wednesday and played for the Admirals in their 4-3 shootout win over South Carolina. He made 25 saves on 28 shots and picked up the win in his first ECHL appearance since ending the 2014-15 season with the Tulsa Oilers. The Vancouver native spent three seasons in the ECHL and AHL from 2012-15 on a three-year entry level contract with the Washington Capitals.

In seven games with the Rail Yard Dawgs, Anderson is 2-4-0 with a 3.74 GAA and a .888 save percentage. He last appeared for Roanoke on Sunday against Fayetteville and allowed five goals on 42 shots in the 6-2 Rail Yard Dawgs loss.

Roanoke returns to action on Friday at 7:05 PM against the FireAntz at the Berglund Center. That will be followed by the team’s first ever Teddy Bear Toss on Saturday. Tickets are available for purchase at Berglund Center box office and online at http://bit.ly/RYDTeddyBearToss.
