RAIL YARD DAWGS SIGN A PAIR

Jackson Brewer placed on Injured Reserve

ROANOKE, VA – The Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs have announced a series of roster moves in advance of Friday night’s game against the Macon Mayhem. Forward Jackson Brewer has been placed on 14-day Injured Reserve and forward Taylor Bourne and defenseman Mitchell Mueller have been signed to contracts.

Brewer is Roanoke’s leading scorer with six goals and 11 assists this season. He has played in all 19 games this season and exited Tuesday night’s game in Fayetteville during the third period.

Bourne joins the Dawgs after opening the season with 11 goals and 7 assists in 22 games with the Danbury Titans of the Federal Hockey League. The Calgary, Alberta native played four seasons at SUNY Fredonia from 2012-16. Roanoke will be his second SPHL team as he played 12 games and tallied three assists with the Huntsville Havoc during the 2015-16 season.

Mueller is in his first professional season and will suit up for his third pro team. He opened the season with the Peoria Rivermen and was waived after notching one assist in four games. The Bakersfield, California native then joined the Danville Dashers of the FHL and had three goals in 13 games before being signed by Roanoke.

The Rail Yard Dawgs host the Macon Mayhem on Friday. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05 PM at the Berglund Center
