Phil Bronner placed on IR

ROANOKE, VA – The Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs announced on Saturday that defenseman Joe Sova has been activated from injured reserve. Additionally, forward Phil Bronner has been placed on 21-day IR.

Sova returns after missing each of the last seven games with an injury. He last appeared on November 16 during Roanoke’s 6-5 overtime win over the Macon Mayhem. In four games with the Rail Yard Dawgs this season, Sova has registered two assists and a plus-2 plus-minus rating. He has also appeared in five games with the ECHL’s Norfolk Admirals where he scored one goal.

Bronner had appeared in every game for Roanoke prior to Friday’s clash with the Fayetteville Marksmen. He has two goals and four assists over 13 games played this season.

The Rail Yard Dawgs hit the ice on Saturday night again against the Marksmen. Puck drop for the Weiner Dawg Race game is scheduled for 7:05 PM at the Berglund Center.
