As the Rail Yard Dawgs continue to prepare for the 2021-2022 season, a new Account Executive has been added to the front office staff.
Will Edwards is from Midlothian, Virginia and is a graduate of University of Lynchburg. Will earned his Bachelor’s of Sport Management with a minor in Outdoor Recreation. During his undergrad, he worked for both, the Old Dominion Athletic Conference and Lynchburg’s Sports Information Department. Will also interned with the Bismarck Larks of the Northwoods League.
“I am happy to be joining the team and look forward to starting life here,” said Will, who is new to the area and getting married in August 2021. Will joins Andrew King in the ticketing department; both sell and service season tickets, ticket packages, and group tickets.
The Rail Yard Dawgs unfortunately did not compete in the Southern Professional Hockey League’s 2020-2021 season due to COVID-19 restrictions in Virginia. Coming out of a dormant season, the front office has seen a great deal of support from season ticket holders and corporate sponsors. The ticketing department duo is also actively booking group outings for the upcoming season. Opening Night is sponsored by Haley Toyota and is set for Friday, October 15 at Berglund Center against the Fayetteville Marksmen.
