ROANOKE, VA – The Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs have announced a series of roster moves in advance of the weekend’s games against the Mississippi RiverKings and the Columbus Cottonmouths. Forward Zach Tatrn has been signed to a three-game tryout contract and forward Todd Hosmer has been acquired in a trade with Mississippi. Defenseman Phil Tesoriero has been placed on 14-day injured reserve, retroactive to December 24, and forward Jackson Brewer has been moved from the 14-day to 21-day injured reserve.

Tatrn opened the season with the Port Huron Prowlers of the Federal Hockey League. He had played in 26 games with seven goals and 17 assists. The Lower Burrell, PA native has spent part of one season in the SPHL, playing 15 games for Knoxville and recording one goal and five assists.

Hosmer appeared in ten games with the RiverKings this season, notching three goals and two assists. He is in his fifth professional season and his fourth with the RiverKings. Hosmer spent all of the 2014-15 campaign with the Wichita Thunder of the ECHL and had 22 goals and 21 assists over 71 games. He set his professional career-high in goals and points in 2013-14 with Mississippi, totaling 37 goals and 18 assists over 40 games.

The Rail Yard Dawgs and the RiverKings meet for the first time in franchise history on Thursday night at the Berglund Center. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05 PM.
