Game Notes – Roanoke vs. Huntsville

The Rail Yard Dawgs announced Wednesday the signing of two rookies who will make their SPHL and pro debuts tonight, as defenseman Connor Bertamini and forward Matt Carlson join the squad.

Bertamini played four seasons of collegiate hockey at Albertus Magnus College (NCAA Division III), where he was a teammate of fellow Dawgs Caden Pattison and Tim Manning. He is coming off a strong 2025–26 season with the Falcons, leading the team with 19 assists and finishing with a team high 22 total points.

Carlson also spent four seasons at the NCAA Division III level with Wilkes University. He earned Second Team All-MAC honors as a freshman in 2022–23 and appeared in 91 career NCAA games with the Colonels.

Roanoke also announced earlier this week that defenseman Dan Stone has been placed on team suspension and will return to the FPHL’s Binghamton Black Bears. Additionally, goaltender Austyn Roudebush has been activated from injured reserve, and the team has placed goaltender Brody Claeys on waivers.

The Rail Yard Dawgs will stay home to host the Huntsville Havoc on Saturday, March 7, at Berglund Center. Puck drop is slated for 7:05 P.M. EST in the Star City. Season ticket packages and group tickets are on sale by contacting the Rail Yard Dawgs’ front office. Single game tickets for the season are on sale now online and at Berglund Center box office.
