The Rail Yard Dawgs announced on Friday that Henry Dill would return for Roanoke’s training camp starting on October 9.
Dill played 24 combined regular season games during the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 seasons for the Rail Yard Dawgs. A native of Columbus, Ohio, the six-foot-two goaltender registered an 8-8-0 record during his time with Roanoke, tallying a .917 save percentage and 2.72 goals allowed average in the 2019-2020 season. Last season, Dill did not appear in a professional game, but Coach Dan Bremner is excited to have the talented goalie back in the Star City.
“Dill was a big part of our team turning things around in the 2019-2020 season,” said Coach Bremner about Dill. “He is a great teammate and part of the ‘glue’ within the locker room. Dill is a competitor who always elevates his game to meet the challenge.”
The Rail Yard Dawgs also announced their 2021-2022 season Training Camp schedule. All practices during Training Camp will be held at Lancerlot Sports Complex in Vinton, and will be open to the public to attend.
Here are the 2021-2022 Training Camp practice dates and start times:
- Saturday, October 9; 2 p.m.
- Sunday, October 10; 9 a.m.
- Monday, October 11; two practices – 9 A.M. and 2 P.M.
- Tuesday, October 12; two practices – 9 A.M. and 2 P.M.
- Wednesday, October 13; 10 A.M.
