ROANOKE, VA – The Rail Yard Dawgs announced on Wednesday that rookie goaltender Brandon Milberg has signed a contract for the 2026-2027 season.
The Thornhill, Ontario native is set to begin his professional career after spending four seasons at the collegiate level. Milberg played his freshman season at Sacred Heart University (NCAA) before transferring to SUNY Oswego (NCAA Division III), where he spent the next three seasons. During his time at SUNY-Oswego the 25-year-old appeared in 45 games, averaging a 2.15 goals against average and a .913 save percentage. Milberg also recorded 5 shutouts and a record of 26-9-3. Milberg also helped lead SUNY Oswego to the 2024-2025 SUNYAC Championship and earned a spot on the SUNYAC All-Tournament Team.
Prior to his collegiate career, Milberg spent one season in the NAHL, appearing in 10 games with the Minnesota Magicians and 28 games with the Wichita Falls Warriors. Across both clubs, he posted a 2.30 goals-against average and a .924 save percentage while recording seven shutouts and compiling a 24-9-4 record.
Roanoke will host the Fayetteville Marksmen to kick off the 2026-2027 season on Friday, October 16, with puck drop set for 7:05 P.M. Season tickets, ticket packages and group tickets are on sale now through the Rail Yard Dawgs front office. Single-game tickets and parking will go on sale Wednesday, September 16, through the Berglund Center box office and online.
