DAWGS SIGN GRANT GARVIN TO AMATEUR TRYOUT

Forward recently completed college career at nearby Liberty University

ROANOKE, VA – The Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs announced on Wednesday that rookie forward Grant Garvin has been signed to an amateur tryout contract. The Liberty University product is set to make his professional debut.

Garvin played 134 games for the Flames over four seasons and averaged over a point per game with 74 goals and 104 assists. During his senior season in 2017-18 he netted 25 goals along with 49 assists over 36 games. The Buffalo, NY native was a teammate of current Rail Yard Dawg, Cam Bakker, for one season with Liberty.

The Rail Yard Dawgs finish out the regular season this weekend in Peoria against the Rivermen. Friday night’s puck drop is scheduled for 7:15 PM CDT at Carver Arena.
