COLIN MURRAY SIGNED BY RAIL YARD DAWGS

Forward will return to Roanoke for training camp

ROANOKE, VA – The Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs announced on Tuesday that forward Colin Murray has been signed to an agreement and will return to the team for training camp in October.

“It’ll be great to have Colin back for camp,” Rail Yard Dawgs head coach Sam Ftorek said. “His combination of size, speed and skill makes him a very dangerous player up front.”

Murray appeared in 17 games for the Rail Yard Dawgs in 2016-17, notching six goals and four assists. He split time between the Roanoke and the ECHL as he also totaled two goals over 16 games for the Elmira Jackals and Greenville Swamp Rabbits.

A native of Oshawa, Ontario, the 27-year-old winger will enter his fourth professional season in 2017-18. He made his pro debut in 2014-15 with the Kalamazoo Wings and has played a combined 119 ECHL games with six different teams.

The Rail Yard Dawgs will open training camp in early October and begin the 2017-18 season at home against the Fayetteville Marksmen on October 20.
